On Saturday, Raipur witnessed a vibrant Pride Run, an initiative by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh Mitwa Sankalp Samiti, designed to champion gender equality. The event was marked by the enthusiastic participation of transgender individuals from various regions across the state.

According to the Secretary of the Mitwa Sankalp Samiti, the Pride Run 2025 aimed to forge an equitable society. It welcomed both the transgender and mainstream communities, beginning at Jaistam Chowk and concluding with a cultural program at Marine Drive. The gathering honored winners of past competitions and featured addresses from community members.
