An official complaint has been lodged against Uttar Pradesh Congress Chief, Ajay Rai, after he made controversial remarks concerning the Rafale fighter jet. Rai's comments included hanging lemon and chillies from a toy version of the aircraft, a gesture that drew sharp criticism.
Chetganj ACP Gaurav Kumar confirmed that an FIR was registered following the allegations. These actions, perceived as mocking the military's capabilities, have not been well-received by many, including BJP leaders who accuse Rai of undermining national morale.
This incident follows Rai's critique of the central government's handling of recent terror attacks. His statements appear to have escalated political tensions, with some accusing him of inadvertently aligning with adversaries of the state.
