LIC has introduced a new tool enabling customers to pay their premiums via a WhatsApp bot, part of their digital transformation efforts. This feature allows users to access policy information and make payments directly within the app, enhancing customer convenience and operational efficiency.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched an innovative online facility for premium payments through a 'WhatsApp bot,' continuing its push toward digital transformation and increased customer convenience.

This cutting-edge feature allows registered LIC customer portal users to pay their premiums online with ease. By using WhatsApp number 8976862090, customers can identify policies due for payment and execute transactions via UPI, net banking, or cards directly within the app.

LIC CEO & MD Siddhartha Mohanty expressed that this service offers operational ease, allowing premiums to be paid anytime and anywhere. LIC's initiative is set to boost efficiency, improving services for over 2.2 crore registered policyholders, of which more than 3 lakh log in daily.
