A fatal accident in Bhopal's bustling Banganga square on Monday left a young woman dead and four others injured after a private bus crashed into bikers waiting at a red light. The tragic incident occurred under the jurisdiction of TT Nagar Police Station, marking yet another traffic mishap in the city.
The bikers were halted due to a red signal when the bus unexpectedly slammed into them, dragging the vehicles several meters. Responding swiftly, local authorities dispatched the injured to the hospital and transferred the deceased to Hamidia Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The bus driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle abandoned.
According to Sudheer Arjariya, the officer in charge of TT Nagar Police Station, the yellow bus was en route to Pital Mandir from Roshanpura when it reportedly lost control, first colliding with a car before crushing several two-wheelers. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover the precise cause of this catastrophic accident.
