The Karnataka Lokayukta launched sweeping raids on several government offices throughout the state, including locations in Bengaluru, Shivamogga, and Gadag. Targets included Prakash, an Assistant Engineer at BBMP Govindrajnagar, and other key figures across municipalities. The crackdown aims at curbing corruption among public servants.

In a concurrent operation, Bengaluru City Police raided multiple bars and restaurants in the West zone. These raids, prompted by credible information, unearthed illegal employment of female staff and numerous breaches of regulations. Police Commissioner-led efforts focus on establishments in Upparpet and Cottonpet areas, among others.

Authorities revealed 19 venues violated laws, employing provocatively dressed female workers and lacking adequate security. Unsanitary kitchens and non-compliance with smoking and operation regulations were also noted. Further investigations are ongoing, with more actions anticipated.
