A devastating road accident occurred in Andhra Pradesh's Annamayya district, claiming the lives of three individuals and leaving five others with serious injuries. The collision involved a lorry and a tempo traveller near Dommanna Bavi in Kurabalakota Mandal, Tamballapalle Constituency, police reported on Monday.
Mudivedu Sub-Inspector Dilip disclosed that an as-yet unidentified lorry struck the tempo traveller with significant force. In response, emergency services swiftly transported the critically injured victims to Madanapalle Government Hospital using the 108 ambulance service.
Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy expressed his profound grief over the incident and issued directives to ensure immediate medical care for those injured. In his message of condolence to the bereaved families, he urged transport authorities to expedite rescue operations and initiated a formal investigation into the accident.
