The family, who runs a roadside street food stall in Sonbhadra district's Duddhi bazaar area, faced this devastating loss when their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Priya, fell into the pot while playing unattended at home. Despite being rushed to a local health centre and later referred to a district hospital, she succumbed to her injuries, according to police reports.

Duddhi Station House Officer, Manoj Singh, stated that the incident was deemed accidental post-inquiry. Shailendra, the father, recounted the past misfortune of losing his elder daughter, Saumya, in a similar manner. The community mourns the recurring tragedy faced by the unfortunate family.
