In a significant development, former BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, acquitted in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, lauded the verdict as a triumph for 'Bhagawa, Sanatana aur Rashtra.' Thakur accused the Congress of concocting the charges for electoral gains and tarnishing nationalist figures.

Thakur expressed her resolve to continue serving India despite adversities. Speaking to ANI, she highlighted the baselessness of the case, criticizing Congress for allegedly siding with terrorists and lacking patriotism.

Sameer Kulkarni, also acquitted, criticized the Congress-led Maharashtra government for purported appeasement politics ahead of the 2009 state elections. The NIA special court acquitted all seven accused, citing prosecutorial failures, while ordering compensation for the victims.
