Security agencies in Jaisalmer have arrested a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) guest house manager for allegedly spying for Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI. The suspect, identified as Mahendra Singh from Almora, Uttarakhand, is accused of leaking military information.
According to officials, Singh was stationed at the DRDO guest house near Chandan Field Firing Range for four to five years and allegedly engaged in espionage. He reportedly shared classified defence data with ISI operatives, shedding light on military movements and trials at the Pokhran Field Firing Range.
Sheriffs believe Singh's information was crucial due to his access to active military zones. Jaisalmer SP Abhishek Shivhare confirmed the arrest and said Singh will face extensive questioning by intelligence agencies to assess the damage.
