In a significant push towards urban cleanliness, the Delhi government has introduced the 'Swachhata Portal' as an integral component of the 'Delhi ko Kude Se Azaadi' initiative. Announced by Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood, the campaign spans the month of August, focusing on making Delhi a paragon of sanitation on the global stage.

The portal enables institutions, government offices, and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to document and share their sanitation efforts through photographs. Minister Sood appealed for public support, emphasizing the transformative vision of a cleaner, eco-friendly Delhi, reflective of a developed India. This movement calls for collective citizen engagement to achieve tangible improvements in the cityscape.

In an innovative approach to motivate local communities, the Urban Development Department is orchestrating a competition for RWAs, recognizing exceptional clean-up achievements with substantial monetary rewards. Prizes are allocated on a competitive basis after thorough evaluations, aiming to direct funds towards development in local societies and stimulate ongoing engagement in environmental stewardship.
