The Indian Army's 4 Rashtriya Rifles unit, in line with its 'Sadbhavana' initiative, has launched a computer lab at Little Angel School in Bhaderwah to bolster digital literacy among rural students. The initiative falls under the framework of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA).
Teachers and officials have praised the move, emphasizing the crucial role of computer education as the world increasingly embraces AI. A Class 7 student expressed gratitude, noting that the new facility fills a significant gap in their educational resources, particularly as more activities shift online.
School teacher Shilpa emphasized the importance of early computer education, while Arif Haleem Khateeb, an External Relations Officer, highlighted the program's alignment with modern technological demands. Colonel Yogesh Chauhan, leading 4 Rashtriya Rifles, remarked on the necessity of such skills in today's digital age, underlining the operation's intent to keep children abreast of global advancements.
