In a compelling appeal during a Parliament session, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha demanded the Indian government offer free subscriptions to advanced AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini for all citizens. Addressing the Rajya Sabha, Chadha stressed the importance of AI technology in boosting productivity and saving time, urging India to prepare for 2030.
Chadha argued that AI tools should be universally accessible to revolutionize work, study, and living conditions, enhancing India's potential. He noted that countries like UAE, Singapore, and China have already adopted such measures. Emphasizing AI's benefits for farmers, students, businesspeople, and the elderly, Chadha called for India to follow this trend to maintain competitiveness.
On a related note, Lok Sabha passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill to foster e-sports and social games while banning online money gaming. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized the government's commitment to societal interests as the Bill was approved amid opposition slogans, highlighting India's focus on safe gaming practices.
