As the Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi draws near, there is a surge in demand for Lord Ganesha idols in local markets. Devotees, eager to celebrate, are finding prices notably higher than in previous years, with a 7-foot idol costing around ₹34,000 and even a 1-foot idol priced at ₹35,000.

Despite these price hikes, the excitement remains undiminished. Vivid testimonials from devotees, such as Arjun from Ramnagar, highlight the beauty and significance of these idols. Arjun shared his experience of picking out a 5-foot idol, expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming festival.

Ganesh idol sellers have noted an uptick in sales, with Chandu Goud, a seller, remarking on the overwhelming response from both local and international customers. With idols ranging from 1 foot to 13 feet and starting at ₹1,500, sellers like Venkatesh are optimistic as patrons, including those from abroad, continue to purchase these significant cultural symbols.
