In a spirited gathering, the CII Northern Region Headquarters in Chandigarh hosted a dynamic Start-up Conclave on Thursday, spotlighting the region's status as a burgeoning entrepreneurial hub. Punjab Governor and UT Chandigarh Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, was the keynote speaker, celebrating India's thriving start-up ecosystem.
Governor Kataria praised initiatives like 'Aatma Nirbhar Bharat', 'Make in India', and 'Digital India' for supporting start-ups, encouraging youth to seize these opportunities. He emphasized the unique advantages of Chandigarh, with its high literacy, connectivity, and premier institutions, fostering a robust environment for innovation.
With over 600 start-ups registered in the city, Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav highlighted Chandigarh's geographic and educational strengths. The conclave also celebrated ten promising start-ups for their innovation and impact, while industry leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on scaling products and navigating government initiatives.
