In a tragic incident on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, a scooter rider was fatally struck by a Honda City car, leading to the rider's fall from a flyover in the Pandav Nagar area of East Delhi. The car's driver fled the scene, leaving the community in shock and mourning another road casualty.
The earlier mishap involving a BMW on Ring Road near Dhaula Kuan resulted in the demise of Navjot Singh, a Deputy Secretary in the Finance Ministry. Witnesses recounted that a woman, Gaganpreet Makkad, drove the BMW car that collided with Singh's motorcycle. Panic-stricken, she reportedly opted for a taxi to transport the injured rather than a nearby hospital.
Legal proceedings intensify as the Delhi Police apprehend Gaganpreet Kaur, whose bail plea remains contested. The Patiala House Court deliberates on extending her judicial custody and scrutinizes CCTV footage from the crash site. The defense argues against the severity of charges, marking the beginning of a detailed legal examination.
