Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh, has publicly criticized European countries for their plan to impose international sanctions by month-end should Tehran not comply with required conditions, including allowing U.N. nuclear inspectors access.

Speaking in Geneva, Khatibzadeh accused European leaders of political bias and motivation, arguing they are misappropriating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) mechanism.

He suggested that the European approach is flawed on multiple levels, urging reevaluation of their stance and decisions on the matter.
