The tragic event unfolded on Sunday as Lalit, a 19-year-old youth, and his 29-year-old married lover, Arti, engaged in this desperate act after being brought back by police from an earlier elopement.

According to Station House Officer Pushpa Devi, the couple was rushed to a hospital, but both succumbed during treatment. Arti, who was married with two children, and Lalit's drastic decision underscores the complexities of their ill-fated relationship.
