The Rouse Avenue Court has dismissed the plea filed by BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia, challenging the charges against him for allegedly abusing a traffic constable. The incident, which reportedly occurred in the Tank Road area of Karol Bagh in 2020, led to Chandolia facing criminal charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the police, the confrontation escalated when a traffic head constable attempted to remove an illegally parked scooter. The accused allegedly shouted at the officer and incited a crowd by verbally abusing him. Chandolia's legal team argued the charges were legally and factually unfounded.

The court maintained that missing medical evidence and lack of CCTV footage did not invalidate the charges. This decision comes amid claims from Chandolia's camp that the case is politically motivated. The ruling reaffirms the lower court's decision to proceed with the charges.
