Himachal Pradesh's top officials, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, expressed profound sorrow on Wednesday following the passing of Nayak Susheel Kumar, aged 40, from the 13th Dogra Regiment. Kumar, a resident of Panyala in the Sujanpur assembly constituency, Hamirpur, is remembered for his valiant service. The Chief Minister assured the bereaved family of government support during this difficult time.

Deputy Chief Minister Agnihotri remarked that Kumar's bravery would stand the test of time in memory. Both leaders extended prayers for peace for the departed soul and fortitude for his kin. Meanwhile, on the administrative front, Chief Minister Sukhu led a review meeting focused on the development of a modern de-addiction and rehabilitation centre at Kotla-Barog in the Sirmaur district.

An official release notes the centre's envisioned 100-bed capacity, complete with a library, gym, sports facilities, and skill training. Medical personnel will ensure healthcare provision. Funded with Rs. 534.36 lakh, the project may see further investment as needed. The Chief Minister instructed district officials to allocate land for the centre, demonstrating commitment to social welfare initiatives.
