Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined a review meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, to discuss preparations for the Chhath Puja festival. Gupta reiterated her government's commitment to providing a clean and safe environment for worshippers during the festivities.

Posting on X, Chief Minister Gupta described Chhath as an "immortal tradition" and assured that the event's activities would be conducted smoothly with attention to cleanliness and infrastructure. Special cleanliness campaigns will kick off, involving public representatives visiting Ghats to oversee preparation efforts.

Expanding the facilities, the government will build additional Model Chhath Ghats, with plans underway for programs at over 1,000 locations. The Delhi CM highlighted efforts to construct one Ghat per district to honor the festival's religious significance. Celebrated by many in Delhi from Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh, Chhath Puja begins on October 25, marking four days of rituals.
