In a scathing critique, Baba Ramdev, the Yoga Guru and co-founder of Patanjali Ayurved, has likened Donald Trump's tariff policies on various countries to "terrorism," suggesting such measures could spark an economic conflict reminiscent of a World War 3 scenario.
Ramdev emphasized the importance of adopting swadeshi, or Indian-made products, as a countermeasure against such economic aggression. He described swadeshi as a philosophy grounded in self-reliance, contrasting it with the 'expansionist' and 'imperialist' approach currently attributed to the United States.
Highlighting the dangers of concentrated global power, Ramdev argued that dominance by a few leads to inequality, exploitation, and conflict. He elaborated on Patanjali's commitment to these values through its US operations, including exports of Ayurvedic products and a registered charity.
