Himachal's Bold Stand Against Chitta: A United Fight

In a major initiative, Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, led the Anti-chitta Awareness Walkathon in Dharamshala, emphasizing the state's commitment to eradicating drugs. The event witnessed significant participation, highlighting the collective effort against drug trafficking. Strict measures and rewards were announced for combating the drug menace.

In a resolute display against drug abuse, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu spearheaded the Anti-chitta Awareness Walkathon in Dharamshala on Monday. The event, marking a severe crackdown on drugs, saw a robust turnout of school children and citizens carrying placards advocating for a drug-free Himachal.

The walkathon started from Dari Ground and concluded at the Police Ground, with Chief Minister Sukhu walking alongside participants to demonstrate the government's commitment to eradicating the deadly chitta and other drugs from the state. During his address to the gathering, Sukhu issued a stern warning to drug traffickers, highlighting the implementation of the PIT-NDPS Act, which has led to the detention of 46 major traffickers.

Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy, Sukhu declared, "Every rupee earned from drugs will be seized," boasting the confiscation of Rs. 46 crore in illegal assets. He highlighted a united front involving the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Special Task Force, and the public, promising rewards for information leading to the capture of traffickers. With determination, Sukhu branded the initiative a battle for the youth's future, elevating it to 'mission mode'.
