In a significant stride towards sustainability, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini mandated the installation of rooftop solar systems on all government buildings. This directive aims to expedite Haryana's transition to renewable energy.
During a high-level meeting, Saini assessed the progression of the PM Suryaghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, emphasizing accountability and setting a goal of 2,22,000 rooftop installations by March 2027. The initiative reflects the state's commitment to enhancing solar energy adoption, aided by a new scheme, 'Saur Urja Protsahan Yojana.'
Furthermore, the CM has ordered the removal of outdated electricity poles for improved public safety, and the development of solar parks. Haryana targets achieving 24,000 MW of power availability to ensure 100% supply. The Yamunanagar ultra-supercritical thermal unit project signifies another significant step in energy infrastructure enhancement.
