Two suspected smugglers sustained injuries when Border Security Force (BSF) personnel fired rubber bullets at them in Tripura's Sepahijala district on Saturday, according to local police reports.
The individuals, who were aiming to cross into Bangladesh with goods, were admitted to GBP hospital in Agartala. Their condition is reported as stable, and officials stated they were minors.
The BSF officers were conducting routine patrols near the 'zero line' at Putia under Kalamchoura police station when they spotted the youths. Despite being asked to halt, they continued towards the border, prompting the use of non-lethal force.
