A tragic accident claimed the lives of four family members in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Saturday. Their car toppled into a gorge on the Drabshalla link road, located approximately 25 km from Kishtwar town, as they were returning to Dessa village in Doda after visiting the Sarthal Mata temple.

Initial reports suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to navigate a blind curve, resulting in the car veering off the road and plunging into the gorge. Police have confirmed these details and are continuing their investigation.

Local volunteers quickly arrived at the scene to conduct a rescue operation. They found three individuals, including a young girl, dead on the spot. A woman, who was extracted from the wreckage and rushed to the district hospital, was declared dead upon arrival. The community mourns the loss of this family.
