In the Munwarabad area of Srinagar, a fire erupted on Sunday, affecting several shops and a furniture warehouse. Firefighters swiftly responded, deploying fire tenders to the scene as efforts to extinguish the blaze commenced.

Details are still emerging, but on November 6, the Indian Army's Shakti Vijay Brigade played a crucial role in halting a massive fire in Bukhaiya village, Tangdhar. An electrical short circuit triggered the fire, which rapidly threatened nearby residences. The brigade, alongside local authorities, quickly contained the situation, preventing a potentially severe disaster, according to an official statement.

Previously, on October 29, the diligent work of the Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Department in Udhampur averted a looming disaster. The department successfully stopped a fire from consuming a large stubble stack near the busy Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Assistant Director Sarvesh Langer reported that the rapid response from Udhampur Fire Station's fire tenders was critical in managing the blaze, averting possible panic and damage.
