The Magnum Ice Cream Company is stepping into a new era of independence as it finalizes its spinoff from Unilever with an anticipated listing on the Amsterdam stock exchange. This move is designed to hone in on its core ice cream business, after being part of Unilever's wide-ranging product lineup that includes everything from Dove soap to Axe deodorant.

The demerger was completed on December 6, and Magnum is set to start trading on Amsterdam's Euronext, as well as the London Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange. This transition marks Magnum as the world's largest standalone ice cream business, featuring notable brands like Wall's, Ben & Jerry's, and Cornetto.

Magnum CEO Peter ter Kulve expressed excitement over this new chapter, highlighting the company's agility, focus, and ambition as an independent entity. The transition is expected to drive productivity and growth, leveraging a dedicated focus on ice cream products.
