IndiGo Triumphs: Airline Rebounds with 1,800 Flights and Improved Operations

IndiGo Airlines reported a major operational rebound on Monday, sharing that it has resumed over 1,800 flights across its network. This comes as a decisive recovery following significant disruptions in recent days.
The carrier stated that enhanced planning and operational optimization played key roles in restoring connectivity to all destinations and sharply reducing cancellations.
Improved performance metrics were announced, with on-time performance jumping to 90% from around 75%, marking a significant improvement. The airline reassured passengers by ensuring that all Monday cancellations had been communicated in advance.
As a part of its customer care initiatives, IndiGo focused on accelerated support measures. This included processing refunds amounting to Rs 827 crores for flights canceled up to December 15. From December 1 to 7, the airline also arranged accommodations for stranded passengers and reunited over 4,500 delayed bags with their owners, with prompt service anticipated for the remaining luggage.
Currently, IndiGo is assisting over two lakh customers daily as its teams work tirelessly to stabilize operations. The airline assured passengers and regulators that all operations are fully compliant with Flight Duty Time Limitations and safety regulations.
IndiGo expressed regret over the recent disruptions and extended gratitude towards its passengers for their patience, highlighting the efforts by staff and partners to expedite the recovery process. An emphasis on cooperation with authorities ensures smooth operations going forward.
