A 24-year-old woman named Gulshan was discovered hanging in her home located in Chak Dohri village, igniting allegations from her family that her death was due to dowry demands from her in-laws.

The police have registered a case of dowry death following the complaint filed by Gulshan's father, Azmat, who claimed that Gulshan faced dowry harassment before her alleged murder.
