Harpal Singh, Joint COO of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), has described disruptions allegedly led by local BJP MLA Shagun Parihar.

MEIL, which has heavily invested in the venture, reports possible substantial financial losses and penalties if political meddling persists. Concerns are mounting over the project's safety and quality amid demands for contract awards and recruitment, leading to tensions between MEIL and local political figures.

The company, linked with NHPC Limited and JKSPDC for this project, emphasizes maintaining a neutral political stance. Singh has urged authorities to ensure the project's continuation without disruptions, warning of potential withdrawals.
