A tragic accident on the Delhi-Agra Expressway resulted in the deaths of at least four people, with 25 others injured, after a massive collision and fire involving several buses early Tuesday morning. The incident, which occurred in Mathura district amid reduced visibility due to dense fog, involved multiple vehicles, including seven buses and three cars.

Upon reaching the postmortem facility in Mathura, efforts to identify the deceased and accurately determine the death toll were initiated. District officials confirmed four fatalities, although an unspecified number of body bags had been brought in. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Radha Ballabh refrained from providing specific casualty numbers when questioned by the media.

A swift response by emergency services saw police and fire personnel rush to the scene to oversee rescue and relief efforts, deploying 11 fire tenders to extinguish the flames and assist trapped passengers. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Shlok Kumar, reported that the rescue operation was nearing completion, with all fire-affected vehicles now under control.
