The Indian government has prolonged Ashwini Kumar Tewari's tenure as the Managing Director of State Bank of India, confirming an additional two-year period.
According to a regulatory filing, Tewari's extended term commences from the charge assumption date, lasting until his superannuation on December 31, 2027.
Originally appointed in January 2021, this marks Tewari's second extension after the first granted in 2024, ensuring his presence on the SBI Board led by a Chairman and four managing directors.
