In an intensified operation against job scams, Delhi Police have taken into custody Rohit Mishra, a 35-year-old resident from Aditya World City, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, for defrauding individuals via false job offers.
The arrest follows a complaint filed under FIR No. 104/25 U/S 318(4) BNS at the Cyber Police Station, Shahdara. Victim Ritu Singh reported that she was deceived into paying for job-related expenses after being enticed by fraudulent communications, including emails and messages from the perpetrators.
Preliminary investigations confirmed the allegations, leading to Mishra's arrest. Authorities seized a Redmi 10 mobile linked to a bank account used in the fraud, along with various fraudulent documents. Rochit Mishra's history reveals prior involvements in similar cyber-crimes, highlighting an extensive fraud network. Further investigations aim to track the financial trail and identify co-conspirators.
