Andhra Pradesh Embarks on Green Energy Revolution
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan initiated a Rs 13,000 crore green ammonia and hydrogen plant in Kakinada. Expected to produce 1.5 MMTPA by 2030, the facility will employ 8,000 people, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leader in the global green energy market.

In a significant stride towards sustainable energy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation for a green ammonia and hydrogen plant in Kakinada on Saturday.
The ambitious venture, backed by an investment of Rs 13,000 crore, aims to produce 1.5 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA) of green ammonia and hydrogen by 2030. The plant, sprawling over 500 acres, is set to commence production by the end of 2027 and will create approximately 8,000 jobs.
The project, developed with international partners like Petronas, GIC, and ADIA, marks a landmark clean-energy investment in India, set to bolster allied sectors and establish Andhra Pradesh as a hub for green energy exports.
