The Uttar Pradesh government is on a mission to establish itself as a frontrunner in green hydrogen technology, according to an official statement released on Monday. The action plan emphasizes research, innovation, and support for startups under its new Green Hydrogen Policy.
To achieve this, the state will create two centers of excellence aimed at developing cost-effective, indigenous green hydrogen technologies. These centers will receive substantial funding for the next five years, supporting high-end research infrastructure to facilitate industry-oriented advancements.
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to become a prominent manufacturing hub for green hydrogen. This aligns with India's broader goal to reach net-zero emissions by 2070, while boosting job creation and supporting the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
