A tragic incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Beed district when a 15-year-old boy allegedly died by suicide after his mother denied him permission to play outside, police revealed. The incident occurred in the Kaij area on a Sunday.

The boy, a Class 9 student, was visited by a friend around 10 am, who urged him to come out and play. However, his mother advised him to stay indoors due to rising temperatures, suggesting he could go out later in the afternoon. Distressed by the refusal in front of his friend, the teenager reportedly hung himself inside his parents' bedroom.

The mother, preoccupied with household chores, noticed something amiss only at 1:30 pm when she found the bedroom door locked. Neighbors broke the door open to find the boy unresponsive, with a broken rope nearby. Despite being rushed to a hospital and later referred to a government facility, the boy succumbed to his injuries. The local police have registered a case around this grievous occurrence, facilitating a much-needed dialogue on teenage mental health and parental communication.
