The region, rich in coffee and strawberry cultivation, aims to upscale its agricultural outputs and become a national natural farming hub.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced new measures to boost agricultural activities in the state, focusing on saffron cultivation at Lambasingi. The initiative, under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, aims at engaging local tribal communities to increase agricultural productivity.

Known for its scenic beauty, Lambasingi already cultivates coffee, pepper, and strawberries. The Chief Minister emphasized large-scale saffron cultivation to leverage the region's potential, dubbing it the 'Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh' due to its conducive climate.

In addition, Naidu plans to develop a 'coca city' and improve the state's standing in banana exports, and aims to register aquaculture activities mandatorily. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to transform Andhra Pradesh into India's largest hub for natural farming.
