Iran claims US 'destabilizing actions' are responsible for halting the flow of energy through this strategic passage, which channels approximately 20% of global oil and liquefied natural gas. The dispute has exerted upward pressure on global energy prices, intensifying economic concerns worldwide.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi highlighted what he termed 'crimes' by the US and Israel, calling for international accountability. Meanwhile, India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation and ongoing regional stability talks with his Iranian counterpart.
