Parthanil Ghosh Appointed CEO of HDFC ERGO

HDFC ERGO General Insurance has appointed Parthanil Ghosh as its new Managing Director and CEO, effective April 16. Ghosh, with over three decades of experience in financial services, succeeds Anuj Tyagi. His leadership is set to strengthen the company's foothold in the insurance industry.

HDFC ERGO General Insurance announced the appointment of Parthanil Ghosh as the company's new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The decision was confirmed by the board on Wednesday and will take effect starting April 16, pending regulatory and necessary approvals.

Ghosh steps into the role following Anuj Tyagi, bringing with him a wealth of experience amassed over three decades in financial services. Ghosh has accumulated over 16 years of expertise in the general insurance sector, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Having joined HDFC ERGO in 2016, post its merger with L&T General Insurance, Ghosh has been pivotal in driving the company's strategic initiatives as Executive Director. The company is poised for growth under his leadership amidst a competitive insurance market.
