At the Babina Field Firing Ranges, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, witnessed the conclusion of Exercise Amogh Jwala on Thursday. This pivotal exercise aimed to validate new operational concepts, force structures, procedures, and protocols for modern warfare.

According to the ADGPI, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth observed a display of speed, precision, and seamless integration of new-generation equipment during high-tempo mechanized warfare, highlighting the combat prowess of a networked, integrated, and future-ready Indian Army. Conducted by the White Tiger Division, the exercise showcased mechanized operations utilizing attack helicopters, fighter aircraft, drones, counter-drone systems, and advanced battlefield technologies in a multi-domain environment.

The exercise successfully combined coordinated movement and firepower, leveraging real-time drone surveillance for accurate targeting. By integrating electronic warfare, air defense, and night-fighting technologies, it underscored the growing strength of a modern military. The ADGPI added that the exercise validated the integration of various capabilities to enhance battlefield awareness, reduce decision cycles, and deliver decisive combat effects across multiple domains.

General Dhiraj Seth lauded the troops for their professionalism, operational excellence, and battle readiness. He emphasized the importance of technological absorption, joint efforts, and seamless integration of land, air, cyber, space, ISR, and EW capabilities in building an agile, adaptable force capable of dominating a rapidly changing battlespace.

In a related scenario planning exercise on Wednesday in Guwahati under the 101 Area and HQ Eastern Command, the Army focused on understanding mutual strengths with the Northeast Frontier Railway. The initiative aimed to enhance operational preparedness and ensure a coordinated response during crises, emphasizing the development of dual-use infrastructure and strategic expenditure savings.
