Himachal's Path to Global Competitiveness: CII 2023 Conference

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Himachal Pradesh highlighted its vision for a future-ready state at the Annual Conference centered on the theme of "Building Future Ready Himachal Pradesh for a Better Tomorrow." Bringing together government and industry stakeholders at Hotel Marina, the conference's dialogue centered on unlocking the state's economic potential and solidifying it as a global investment destination.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu committed to reducing the compliance burden through a Single Window System to streamline approvals. Despite geographical challenges, the state's focus remains on uplifting industries, particularly through major investments in tourism aimed at accelerating economic growth for the benefit of all societal sections.

The conference also saw talks from Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan and CII Northern Region leaders, emphasizing local production and strategic state sectors like pharmaceuticals and tourism as key aspects of economic resurgence. The discourse stressed leveraging CII Centres of Excellence, previously viewed as a luxury, now deemed essential for maintaining industrial competitiveness and innovation.
