Union Power Secretary Pankaj Agarwal emphasized the necessity of an 'energy mix' approach on Saturday, urging Rajasthan's power sector to boost projects that combine renewable and conventional energy. This strategy aims to efficiently meet the state's escalating electricity demands.

During a review meeting with senior officials from the state's energy department and power companies, Agarwal highlighted the importance of integrating various energy sources. He also pointed out the progress of decentralised solar projects under the PM-KUSUM Scheme while addressing challenges linked to solar power grid integration.

Agarwal further stressed the importance of improving grid stability and developing battery energy storage systems to assure uninterrupted power supply during peak hours. He reviewed several other key issues, including daytime electricity supply for agriculture in 24 districts, loss reduction measures, smart metering progress, and resource adequacy planning.
