India is advancing its Piped Natural Gas (PNG) initiative with an ambitious rollout supported by a robust policy framework from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Since March 2026, over 4.40 lakh connections have been completed, with another 4.88 lakh registered, showcasing remarkable adoption momentum.
The initiative is part of a larger acceleration strategy involving national frameworks like the National PNG Drive 2.0, set to extend till June 2026, emphasizing rapid connection releases and coordinated implementation among central and state entities.
