Wipro has announced that its board has approved a substantial share buyback initiative valued at Rs 15,000 crore, marking the company's largest ever. The initiative is anticipated to be finalized in the first quarter of 2027.
This significant move involves the reacquisition of up to 60 crore fully paid-up equity shares, representing 5.7 per cent of Wipro's total paid-up equity share capital, at a price of Rs 250 per share.
Chief Financial Officer Aparna Iyer stated that this proposal is contingent upon receiving shareholder approval, underscoring the magnitude of this buyback for the firm.
