Turmoil at Tuapse: Ukrainian Drones Target Russian Energy Hub

In a dramatic continuation of hostilities, firefighters are battling a blaze at Russia's Black Sea port of Tuapse more than a day after Ukrainian drone attacks. Local authorities confirmed that 177 servicemen are actively engaged in extinguishing the fire, which originated from attacks that killed two, including a 14-year-old girl, and injured seven, also impacting an oil tanker.

Ukraine's military announced strikes on two oil depots in Russian-controlled Crimea and infrastructure in Tuapse. In a strategic escalation, Ukraine has increasingly targeted Russian energy assets, notably ports in the Black and Baltic Seas, amid stalled U.S.-led peace talks focused on the Iranian conflict.

According to the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti, the Russian defense forces downed 11,211 Ukrainian drones in March, nearly twice as many as in February, underscoring the intensifying aerial engagements.
