Ukraine Restores Druzhba Pipeline Amidst Tensions

The delay in repairing the pipeline had significant diplomatic implications, stalling a major EU loan of 90 billion euros intended to aid Ukraine's military and economy over the next two years. Hungary and Slovakia had previously blocked this funding, linking it to pipeline repairs.

Zelenskyy expressed concerns about future threats from Russia but emphasized Ukraine's commitment to restoring the pipeline's operations. This move also aims at resuming halted Russian oil supplies to Hungary and Slovakia, vital for regional energy stability.
