In a significant stride towards strengthening India's defense capabilities, the Advanced Armoured Platforms, conceived by the Vehicles Research & Development Establishment, were unveiled by Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary of the Department of Defence (R&D) and Chairman of DRDO. The event took place at the DRDO's Ahilyanagar laboratory in Maharashtra.

Designed to address the evolving operational needs of the armed forces, the platforms are equipped with an indigenously crafted 30 mm crewless turret. This system boasts enhanced features, including a powerful engine and automatic transmission, ensuring superior mobility and protection. The platform's engineering enables it to tackle diverse terrains, with amphibious capabilities further augmenting their strategic flexibility.

The production of these cutting-edge platforms was a collaborative effort between TATA Advanced Systems Limited and Bharat Forge Limited, bolstered by numerous MSME partners. This initiative not only reflects growing self-reliance but also reinforces the dynamic defense ecosystem. The unveiling, attended by top scientists and industry leaders, underscores a robust commitment to innovation in national defense.
