Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has revealed his unique approach to dealing with the extreme summer heat, claiming he avoids air conditioning, even as temperatures soar. In a recent address to the public in Shivpuri, Scindia said he embraces what's known as 'Chambal skin,' explaining that he neither uses air conditioning in his car nor seeks a cooled environment.
Scindia, who humorously noted that he looks young but possesses an old soul, suggested carrying an onion as a traditional remedy to counter the heat. He emphasized not forgetting these traditional methods even as Ayurveda progresses. His comments come amidst a warning from the India Meteorological Department about pervasive heatwave conditions across much of the country.
The Meteorological Department reported that maximum temperatures are currently ranging from 40 to 46 degrees Celsius in several regions, with Akola recording the peak at 46.9 degrees Celsius. The department forecasted heat wave to severe heat wave conditions in various isolated pockets, including parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and other states, warning residents to brace for oppressive weather.
