An Air India flight on route from Mumbai to Bhopal executed a precautionary landing in Bhopal on April 26 after crew suspected a technical anomaly. The airline stated that this decision was aligned with standard operational procedures, ensuring the safety of all onboard.
The safe landing allowed passengers and crew to disembark without incident. As the aircraft underwent necessary evaluations, Air India arranged alternative transportation for passengers to reach their destination. Concurrently, Air India announced the debut of its retrofitted Boeing 787-8, registered as VT-ANT, marking a significant milestone in their fleet enhancement.
The Boeing 787-8, after interior upgrades at Boeing's Modification Center in Victorville, California, flaunts a contemporary three-class seating configuration. The transformation consumed approximately 12,825 man-hours over 45 days, involving the installation of new seats and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment systems, aligning with Air India's latest widebody standards.
