In a significant move, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived at Kangra airport in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday to attend a crucial party training session. He was greeted warmly by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, reflecting the importance of the visit to the region.
Chief Minister Sukhu, expressing his delight, stated, 'A heartfelt welcome and warm felicitation were extended at Gaggal Airport to the people's leader, Rahul Gandhi, whose presence is a matter of pride for all.' Gandhi is set to participate in the concluding ceremony of the 10-day long training camp designed to bolster the party's organizational capabilities.
The All India Mahila Congress is also set to address the issue of women's reservation during their meeting with Rahul Gandhi. AICC Secretary Surbhi Verma highlighted the need for substantive steps toward securing one-third representation for women in legislatures. She criticized the BJP for stalling the Women's Reservation Bill, emphasizing the party's commitment to this cause.
